      Also add this: Remotely tell the phone to take a picture the next time the screen turns on.

      That or a function similar to it.

      I ask this since I'm against the use of remote locking. I want the thief to keep the phone and use it. Not to throw it away because it's locked...

            Disabling the power button is technically useless because the battery can always be pulled out to power off the phone. However, we’re looking at how we can trap all the hardware keys (including the home key) to improve the security of the lock

            @Roy: Technically useless, but for some people it could be usefull.

            In my case for instance: I am running CyanogenMod, and if you hold the power button, a pretty menu pops up with the choice to boot into recovery mode. From there someone can easily wipe the phone.

            Disabling the power button will make it harder for someone to boot into recovery mode if they don't know the phone well.
