Allow the user to set a custom alarm sound
The current default alarm sound could cause a panic in the wrong situation. I think it would be better if I could use my own sound; for example, a recording that says "This phone is stolen property.". It would be nice to be able to record and/or upload an mp3 on the wavesecure website.
This seems to be a much requested feature through official support channels. Pls vote it up if you think it should be done

This alarm is mental! What if I want to use it to find my phone in the house after I've put it on silent? It'll freak out my flatmates.

Is that alarm sound a joke? If you don't make it a user option, you should change it to a more traditional alarm sound.

This really needs to be fixed. The default alarm will draw attention, but it doesn't let surrounding people know that the phone is stolen.

I tried the alarm during the beta and it freaked my cats out and in the ensuing panic I couldn't enter the pin correctly. Had to take it to the other end of the house and stuff it under a cushion before it was quiet enough to try the pin again. I'd much rather have something that announces the phone is stolen rather than just screeching.

When I first heard the screaming noise, I laughed. I want to use an alarm but I don't think a thief would take this seriously and I would rather have something that sounds "official." The screaming does attract attention, but it just sounds kind of stupid.

Honestly I would think that the thief might chuck the phone in this situation. Especially if the power button was disabled.
I would personally want the phone to do an autobackup at this point, grab the GPS location, *then* scream bloody murder..
